Eric Lee is founder and CEO of Purple Wealth, LLC. Eric graduated from the University of Wyoming and began his career as financial advisor in 1992. Eric maintains his Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities registrations through LPL Financial and his South health/life insurance license through South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.
For three decades, Eric has been a valued financial advisor to busy, affluent individuals. Eric’s passion is helping others make better financial decisions - and come to terms with what money means to them. Eric lays out how people can avoid the pitfalls around investing, spending, and giving their money away and think differently about wealth to pursue a more confident and less stressful life. Eric knows why some people, even “rich” people, never find Purple Wealth, and why other people, even those who have far less money, are often much better off. Eric strives to provide smart and practical financial advice, and much of his knowledge and experience comes from seeing affluent families make money decisions that went horribly awry: life savings squandered, kids ruined by inheritances, and “rich” people made miserable by their riches.
Eric is committed to serving the local community. He currently volunteers as state-wide President of the Children’s Home Society of South Dakota Board of Directors and serves on the Monument Health Advisory Council. Eric has served on the Board of Directors for United Way of the Black Hills, Wellfully, Black Hills Rapids, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills, among many other volunteer activities.
Eric and his wife Terri are high school sweethearts and have been married 31 years. They are the proud parents of daughters Hannah and Julia, and agree with Don Michael Corleone in The God Father: Part III: “The only wealth in this world is children.” During the winter months, Eric loves powder skiing at his home in Utah, wake surfing and waterskiing in the summer, and hiking throughout the Black Hills and Wasatch Mountains.
